Description:
The Project Manager oversees the day-to-day aspects of the project. Duties include coordination of the architect and contractors, constructability and value engineering reviews during the design phase, schedule development, analysis of contractor bids, contract writing and administration, and budget and schedule management during the construction phase. The Project Manager also reviews and tracks submittals and change orders issued by the architect, monitors requests for clarifications, monthly job status reports and developing and tracking construction schedules using the computer program, Primavera. On-site responsibilities include engineering problem solving, assisting the superintendent with field questions, and updating the construction schedule. Project Mangers employed by Allied Industries, Inc., are responsible for the overall management of the project. This position requires the occasional lifting of items weighing approximately 65-85 pounds. The project managers are required to walk the job site that could be up to two miles in diameter. The ground is usually uneven with different levels. Each project manager will be required to climb and descend stairs and ladders periodically to manage his/her projects.

$60,000 - $80,000

Qualifications:
The Project Manager will have a minimum 10 years of construction experience and a 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, dedicated and highly knowledgeable in the area of Commercial and Industrial Construction. This individual should have strong English verbal and written communication skills, and strong computer skills including project scheduling programs. Experience with government contracts preferred but not required. Duties include but are not limited to preparing proposals, design-build projects, estimating, managing projects and project superintendents, subcontractor buy-out, change orders, budgets, preparing construction schedules, quality control, safety and marketing.
